How To Find Us
Take the A1 north past the service station at Washington. The A1 bears left down a hill where you stay in the left lane, taking the slip road signposted A167. At the roundabout, take the third exit onto the A167 following signs for Gateshead and Newcastle.
After about a hundred yards, you'll pass the Angel of the North on your left Keep on the A167 through Low Fell. You will eventually reach a dual carraigeway/flyover which takes you down onto the Tyne bridge.
At the far end of the Tyne bridge, you will be on the central motorway. Following signs for the north (A1, Morpeth...) leave the motorway onto the B1318. After about a mile you'll reach a roundabout where you take the third exit onto the A189.
Follow this road through two sets of lights, a sharp left hand bend and down a bank then for a further 1/4 mile untill you reach a roundabout (pub called the Brandling Villa on your left). Take the third exit onto the A191, towards another small roundabout which you go straight over (second exit) staying on the A191.
Go up the hill, past a Shell filling station on your left, through the lights and continue for about a mile. You'll reach another roundabout. Take the first exit passing the Metro station now on your right and straight over the small mini roundabout.
At the next roundabout, take the third exit into Goathland Avenue. Look out for the primary school on the right and just opposite turn left into Hailsham Avenue. There is a sign to Longbenton Community College
Go down to the end and into the college car park. Park on the right hand (East) side. The clubroom is in the basement under the East hall.
From the north on the A1
Leave the A1 at the first exit after the A19 turn off. This is sign posted B1318, Gosforth and Gosforth Park.
At the roundabout take the first exit towards Gosforth Park and at the next roundabout (hotel entrance) take the first exit. At the next roundabout take the second exit onto Sandy Lane.
After a few hundred yards, you will pass an HGV MOT centre and a caravan sales place on your left. Sandy Lane is about a mile long.
At the next roundabout take the fourth exit onto the A189 then at the next roundabout take the second exit onto the A188. The Findus factory is on your right.
Go straight over the next roundabout (Balliol Industrial/Business Park) then at the next roundabout take the first exit into Goathland Avenue. Look out for the primary school on the right and just opposite turn left into Hailsham Avenue. There is a sign for Longbenton Community College. Go down to the end and into the college car park. Park on the right hand (East) side. The clubroom is in the basement under the East hall.
From the west on the A69.
Follow the A69 until it meets the A1. Head North until you reach the Gosforth Park turn off and then follow the directions as if you were coming from the North.
