What it's all about

You arrive at the track at 6.30pm, to find others, already out on track practising. The ‘word’, is that the grip level tonight is low.

In the pits, you prepare your car for the coming race, selecting a set of medium grip tyres. Then it's out of the pits and onto the track but after eight or nine laps, you decide that the ‘word’, is right and head back to the pits for stickier rubber.

Tyres changed and its back on the track, only to discover that you need even more grip, which means another trip back to the pits. You clean the tyres, add some traction compound and make a couple of  minor adjustments. That does the trick and you discover your lap times falling. Finally satisfied with your car's performance, you head back to the pits to wait for the start of your race.

Race control calls you to the track and you line up on the start line. Adrenaline courses through your veins, your heart rate increases and your mouth turns dry, as you wait for the lights to turn green.

Then they do and you're heading for the first right turn, over the bridge, at full throttle, braking briefly before applying full power as you drift around the long, sweeping bend.

As you exit, you find yourself in second place, heading down the straight before braking hard into turn two, the first of a complex of three bends, known as ‘the spoon’. As you exit the spoon, you are still in second place with 120 laps to go.

Question is, can you work out where to pass the guy in front? Where is his weak point? Can you fend off the guys behind? Do you have  the stamina, race craft, mental ability and outright bottle to be first across the finish line?

Well, do you?

You won’t know unless you try it!!
